Seasonal Acupuncture Tune-Up
We certainly want to benefit from it more and for as long as possible...We want more when we no longer have it...We are never truly satisfied with it - except when the person learns to know themselves better and consciously accept themselves thus- ......And more and more still and forever: love around us, the means to fulfill ourselves, bread and circuses, but very essential to enjoy all of this: health, vitality, the vigor of youth, the life that beats!
Have you perhaps forgotten that you possessed the greatest wealth: your health. Going through a health challenge reminds us of this quite well each time. So, you are one of these fortunate ones.. rich in health...you already benefit from it....
Invest in prevention!!! Possible side effects: Activation of your innate resources, accompanied by sensations of exultation and euphoric joy..OK the surreal high is temporary, but these beneficial side effects are pleasant.
Prevention and Longevity
The tradition of Chinese medicine recommends acupuncture treatments at seasonal changes to consolidate vital forces (qi). This practice is valid for everyone, whether you are already ill or always in good health. It is a methodical and personalized approach to disease prevention and internal strengthening. Another way to regulate the balance of internal organs according to the seasons is to promote certain flavors at certain times of the year. Thus, once the menu is adjusted to one's constitution, one can, for example, in spring, do fine balancing by favoring pungent and sweet foods; these 2 flavors assist the liver in adjusting to the warming that follows winter. It is also suggested to add, for example, a little sour to our plate in spring, since the astringent nature of acidity allows protection of the surface, by tightening the pores, to resist the wind accompanying atmospheric changes in spring.
The equinoxes of the year, namely in autumn and spring, are particularly important moments in terms of flourishing activities. These are often periods during which human beings find themselves undertaking new schedules or combining several occupations at the same time. Furthermore, changes in temperature, luminosity, and the position of force lines in the universe create a polarization of the forces and weaknesses of living beings. This is why individuals in full health find at these times of year complicit forces allowing them to accomplish tasks left unfinished or to change orientation completely in the short or long term. This burgeoning of forces is a flower to water in the inner garden of these individuals, and this is why this moment becomes privileged for directing, stimulating, and catalyzing this momentum of movements in harmony with the universe with a few nourishing acupuncture treatments.
For many, however, the cool breezes of autumn and the sunny welcomes of spring create unwelcome waves in routine. These individuals being already weakened by physiological processes in chronic imbalance, whether these manifest quietly for the rest of the year or loudly and prominently daily, seasonal changes at the equinoxes are significant and sometimes even quite aggravating. For these individuals it becomes a privileged moment to begin a deep constitutional and etiological work through acupuncture, or to direct a more sustained follow-up of work already initiated. The winter and summer solstices are also to be considered in this light, as well as the weeks preceding and following your birthday.
It is worth noting that the seasonal changes of our calendar correspond to the apex of the seasons as described by Chinese medicine. Thus, there are in fact 8 seasonal changes. The most important from a therapeutic point of view are the spring and autumn equinoxes.
